Nipawin Hawks Are Bringing Back Kozan

The Nipawin Hawks announced on social media yesterday that they have removed the interim tag from Tad Kozan who is now the full time Head  Coach and GM.

 

Kozan began the 2021-22 season as Assistant Coach and was handed the reigns when long time Head Coach and GM Doug Johnston was let go on December the 4th.

 

Scott Sanderson , the Nipawin Hawks President announced that the Hawks have given Kozan a two year contract with the possibility of an extension following his term.

 

The Hawks finished the season at 17-35-6, 11th overall and did miss the playoffs.

 

Kozan is a home town product and did suit up for the Hawks for three seasons between 2011-14.

 

He ended up with 146 career points including 79 goals in 143 games.

 

" I want to thank Scott and the Hawks organization  for this opportunity. I am excited and honored to be the next Head Coach and GM of this organization. I can't wait to continue on the Hawks tradition here in Nipawin " says Kozan.
