The Hapnot Queens Senior Basketball Girls got a chance to head to Provincials in Souris this past weekend.

 

The Queens were rewarded with a Wild card spot for their fine play this past year after a tough loss in the Zone final to MBCI from the Pas.

 

The Queens won their first game as they knocked off the number 7 seeded team from Teulon 67 to 48.

 

Hapnot then got to play the host team and number two seeds from Souris and with lots of family and friends from Flin Flon watching the live stream they almost pulled the upset.

 

They battled right to the wire losing a heart breaker 50 to 48.

 

The tournament concluded with a 55 to 45 loss to Carmen that ended the Queens season.

 

It was a great season that saw the Queens work very hard and put together one of their most talented teams in recent memory.
