There was a lot of excitement at Hapnot Collegiate this past weekend,  as for the first time in two years,  Senior Basketball Zones took place.

 

MBCI from the Pas came in the heavy favorites for both the boys and girls. The girls team was ranked no.1 in the province while the boys team was ranked no.4.

 

Neither team lost a game and took home both  Zone banners.

 

The MBCI Girls went 4-0 and beat Hapnot in the final 61 to 50. It was a very spirited affair and the gym was packed with fans cheering for both teams.

 

A great effort from Hapnot who gave MBCI everything they wanted in the final game. Hapnot may still get a chance to go to Provincials as they may get a chance at a Wild Card.

 

Details should be released later this week.

 

The MBCI Boys also went 4-0 and dominated their competition including a 83 to 49 win over Hapnot in the final.
