Funky Threads and the A & W hosted a U-9 Hockey Toyrnament in the Pas this weekend with the final games just wrapping up this afternoon.

 

The tournament once again featured house league teams from Flin Flon, The Pas, Thompson and Swan River.

 

Flin Flon sent three teams including McKeens Trucking, The FF Firemen and the Steelworkers.

 

The Firemen finished the round robin with a win, loss and a tie. Steelworkers were 1-2 and McKeens finished with 2 wins and a loss.

 

In the Finals played today.

 

The FF Firemen beat the Steelworkers 6 to 5 in the C Final.

 

McKeens finished third over all beating the Pas Huskies 10 to 7 in a very exciting game. Aubree Vancoughnett played very well in net while Brody Cooper was the game star with a hat-trick.

 

The kids had a blast and the tournament was well organized and  lots of spectators made their way to the rink through out the weekend.
