Schell Talks About The Record

After having a couple of days to soak in the remarkable achievement for setting the all time franchise record for shut-outs in a season, I had a chance to catch up to Cal Schell.

To say that Schell is having a break out season would be a huge under statement.

Schell is among the league leaders in every goalie category including wins (24), save % of .928 and gaa of 2.22.

The 20 year old from Burlington Ontario has established himself as a top notch goalie in the league and now stands alone in Bomber history.

His 29 save performance at the Cage in Nipawin Tuesday allowed him to pick up his league leading 7th shut-out of the season and break the club record of 6.

Schell was tied with Zac Robidoux heading into the game Tuesday with Robidoux setting the mark in 2016-17.

Schell,  a team guy all the way gave credit to his team mates and talked about his experience in the SJHL and the life of a Junior hockey player in Flin Flon.
