Bombers Continue To Pile Up Victories

It took just 7:52 seconds for the Flin Flon Bombers to decide last night's game in Kindersley as the Maroon and White Express blanked the home town Klippers 4-0.

Rylan Thiessen converted an early power play from Xavier Lapointe and Jaeden Mercier and the Bombers never looked back.

Other goal scorers were : Jaxon Martens his 13th, Brett Wieschorster his 5th and Jaeden Mercier who scored his 9th.

The long bus ride wasn't a factor as Flin Flon fired 52 shots at Matthew Pesenti to pick up their 7th straight win.

Another great performance from new comer Ben Montgomery who picked up his second straight win and stopped all 22 shots for his first career SJHL shut-out.

The Bombers continue to roll along and got some help from Laronge last night who went into Melfort and beat the Mustangs 5 to 4.

Flin Flon leads Melfort by 3 points for top spot in the division and has 4 games in hand.

The Bombers have also closed the gap on Estevan and are only 4 points behind the Bruins for second overall and both teams have played 38 games.

Next up will be a home and home with Laronge this weekend, with the first game in Flin Flon Friday and the re-match in Laronge on Saturday.

Flin Flon leads the season series 5 to 1 but the Wolves are playing better hockey and are 7-3 in their last 10. Two of thise losses came to the Bombers.

I am sure it will feel like a playoff atmosphere and we will have both games on 102.9 CFAR and flinflononline.com. The broadcast will start both nights with the Great North GM Coach's Show at 7:10.
