It looks like the Flin Flon Bombers and Laronge Ice Wolves will have to wait a little longer to rekindle their rivalry.

 

The two teams were poised to meet with a home and home this New Year's weekend.

 

The SJHL announced on their website that the two games have been postponed until a later date.

 

With the way that the new Covid variant  Omicron is spreading across the country,  the league isn't taking any chances with players returning from their holiday break.

 

The SJHL says this is a precautionary measure to allow the players to be properly tested before getting back on the ice.

 

Make up dates have yet to be determined.
