The Norman Northstars 9 game losing streak is no more as they won an OT thriller yesterday against the Winnipeg Bruins 6 to 5.

 

Down 3 to 1 in the second the Northstars never quit working and were led by Flin Flon's Magnus Pearson who picked up a pair of assists.

 

Norman actually took the lead in the third period, before the Bruins would tie up the game at 5 around the 8 minute mark.

 

It didn't take long for the Northstars to win it in the extra period when their leading scorer Brady Krentz scored just 59 seconds in for his 16th of the season.

 

Norman picks up a very important win to improve to 9-19-3 and are now 3 points out of the final playoff spot.

 

They will go on their Christmas break and are back on the ice in the new year when they host Pembina Valley for a pair of games  January the 8th and 9th.
