Northstars Continue to Move Up The Standings

The Norman Northstars wrapped up a very successful road trip where they took 2 out of 3 on the weekend.

Norman made their way to Kenora and squeeked out a 6 to 5 win in OT on Friday.

Flin Flon's Magnus Pearson picked up a goal and an assist in the win. Paxton Moore also returned from injury and got the start and made 22 saves for his first win of the season.

Saturday, Norman doubled up the Thistles 6 to 3 and Thompson's Clark Scadden hat the hot hand and scored 5 times including the natural hat-trick.

Flin Flon's Gage Gogal added an assist.

Yesterday, Norman ran out of gas and dropped an 11-1 decision to the Eastman Selects.

It was a great weekend that saw the Northstars climb to 7th overall and they have 19 points which has them tied with the Winnipeg Bruins.

They will be back on the road this weekend hitting Brandon for a pair of games on Friday and Saturday and Parkland Sunday afternoon.

Norman is looking to make the playoffs for the first time in 10 years.
