Bombers Tackle Mills

The Flin Flon Bombers will put their three game winning streak on the line this weekend as they will play host to the Melville Millionaires.

The Bombers are playing some good hockey as they are vaulting up the standings at 7-3,  which is not only good enough for second in the Sherwood but good for second over all too.

Flin Flon is getting great goaltending from Cal Schell who just picked up the SJHL Goalie Of The week and has only given up 1 goal in his last three starts.

Schell is 5-2 with a gaa of 2.29 and a save % of .930. Very good numbers to begin the season.

The Bombers are also scoring by committee this season with only two of their players in the top 20 in league scoring.

Jaeden Mercier sits 15th with 10 points and Jeremi Tremblay who has caught fire in his last three games  sits 17th overall with 9 points.

Melville limps into town with just one win this year but are still second in the Viterra Division with 5 points.

One thing about the SJHL is you can never take your opponent for granted and the Bombers will need to be ready to go against a young hungry Melville team.

Don't forget to join us tonight for the return of Creighton Furniture Bomber Hockey as we will hit the air with the Great North GM Coach's Show at 7:15 and drop of the puck at 7:30.
