The Manitoba Midget Triple a Hockey league kicked off the 2021-22 season this past weekend with 12 of the league's 13 teams in action including the Norman Northstars.

 

Norman got to open up the season at the C.A. Nesbitt Arena in Thompson against the Southwest Cougars.

 

It was a good showing for a very young roster with the Cougars winning both games 4 to 0 and 2 to 1 Sunday  afternoon.

 

Ian Snooks from Thompson was the only Northstar player to find the back of the net on opening weekend.

 

Norman will get another chance on home ice to grab their first win as they will welcome the Brandon Wheat Kings to town for two games next weekend October the 2nd and 3rd.
