Once again the Northern Saskatchewan Football League has had to make some changes before they hit the field.

 

The Kodiaks were to start their season in Sandy Bay last Friday but Sandy Bay has had to withdraw from the league due to not being able to get all their players vaccinated.

 

The season will start next week with the Kodiaks holding their home opener next Wednesday September the 15th, 4 pm from the Creighton Field.

 

SMVS from Laronge will be in town to kick off the season.

 

Cumberland House has rejoined the league, so that means there will be 4 teams in the league this year including Creighton, SMVS and Atahkakoop.

 

We should have the new schedule in the next couple of days and I will post on this blog when it is complete.

 

The Kodiaks are the reigning champions from 2019 and have 5 players remaining from that championship team including Marcus Kennedy, Myles Patterson, Brenne Hailey, Davon Eastman and Noah Olivier.
