Team White Beats Team Maroon

Lots of offense last night for the annual Maroon and White game which wrapped up Bomber Main Camp at the Whitney Forum.

When it was all said and done, Team White erupted for four goals in the third period for the 8 to 6 victory.

Veteran Matt Raymond led the way with a pair of goals with singles coming from Ethan McColm, Nathan Gagne, Matt Egan, Cole Tanchuk, Nathan Flodell and Jeremi Tremblay.

Head Coach and GM, Mike Reagan is predicting a big offensive season for Tremblay who hails from Quebec City.

Team Maroon was led by rookie Dean Gorchynski who scored twice with other goals coming from Jaeden Mercier, Mackenzie Carson, Cole Duppereault and local product Jordan Pfoh.

Gorchynski lit it up for the Winnipeg Wild last year in the Manitoba Midget Triple A League by putting up 55 points in 47 games and also spent some time with the Winnipeg Blues of the MJHL.

5 different goalies saw action with Team White going with three back stoppers including veteran Cal Schell and rookies Max Hildebrand and Cody Wilson.

Last year's back up Jared Thompson and Hunter Lolacher shared the crease for Team Maroon.

The Bombers will now start to see how they measure up against every body else as they officially start the pre-season tonight.

Laronge will be here to rekindle the rivalry with puck drop at 7:30. The game will feature all rookies.
