Congratulations to Flin Flon's Joie Simon on committing to MacEwan University in Edmonton for the fall of 2021.

 

Joie has put up some great numbers the past couple of seasons with the Yellowhead Cheifs of the MFHL.

 

Simon suited up for 69 games with the Cheifs and picked up 55 points including 34 goals. She also added 12 points in 16 playoff games.

 

Simon is described as the complete player, who is a great skater, very tenacious fore checker, good offensive instincts and very good away from the puck.

 

Her complete play led to her being named team captain this past season.

 

Simon has had many accomplishments in her career already , including playing for the Norman Wild in the Female Midget Triple A League and suiting up for Team Manitoba at the Aboriginal Hockey Championships.
