PLGC AGM Highlights

The Phantom Lake Golf Club held their Fall AGM last night at the Clubhouse and reported on how everything went in 2020.

Dennis Hyndman gave a financial report and said revenue was down 18 % from the year before but the Club still made a profit.

Bad weather and all the Covid restrictions were the biggest reasons why.

Golf Pro, Kelly Mclaren also spoke and thanked his staff, volunteers and board for really pitching together in a very difficult year. He also said they have a better understanding on how to deal with Covid if it is still around next spring.

Greens Superintendant Brett Stephenson mentioned they have officially closed down the course and will be preparing the greens for winter. They will be looking for volunteers to put up snow fenses and lay straw down.

They will send out an e-mail when they are ready to do this.

The number 5 fairway should be ready for August and a big thanks to Roly Abel and Joey Werbicki on all their work.

Ray Shirran, Jeff Woods and Bruce Galay were all re-elected to the board with Jason Kozar and Scott Danko newly elected.
