Due to the recent upswing of Covid cases around the country and in Saskatchewan, the Northern Saskatchewan Football season will not happen.
The league officials met with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the different school boards from the northern centers and decided not to put anyone's health at risk and will not pursue a season this fall.
This was tough news for the Creighton Kodiaks who were returning a strong contingent of players from last season and now many seniors will graduate without a chance to compete for a league title.
Ryan Karakochuk, the Head Coach of the Kodiaks was in the CFAR studio this past Friday and talked about the cancellation of the season and how the league will go further from here.
We also had a chance to out our two cents in for everything else happening in the sports world right now.
Ryan is always a great guest and you can hear the full interview here: https://soundcloud.com/102-9-cfar-podcasts
