Three Players Inducted Into Female Hall Of Fame

Saturday,  was a historic night at the Whitney Forum as the much awaited new Female Hockey Hall Of Fame was introduced before the Flin Flon Bomber game.

Rink manager,  Les Taylor and his committee have been working on this project for more than a year.

It all came together this past weekend as the Hall welcomed it's first three members.

Congratulations to Amber Chrisp who started in FFMH when she was only 5 years old and played on boy's rep teams through out her minor hockey years. In 1991, Amber played for team Manitoba and got to travel to P.E.I for the Winter Games.

Crystal Springer started in FFMH and moved to Middlebury University for one year. Crystal then made the jump to Harvard for three years where she had lots of success including an  ECAC Championship, Ivy League Championship and a National Championship.

Indra Wood played 9 years in FFMH and went on to play one year for the Banff Bears of the Canadien Sport School Hockey league. Indra also played for the Kings College Monarchs in the NCAA where she got American scholar accolades and named to the first All Academic Team.

She is currently playing Women's Intermediate Hockey in St Catherine's for the Brock Badgers.

All three of these players pictures and bio's are located in the new Female Hockey Hall Of Fame which is on display in the Whitney Forum lobby.

A big thank you to Shayleen Lycan for donating the sign and to Ped's Threads for the logo design.
