Kodiak Awards Banquet

The Creighton Kodiaks 6 man football team held their year end awards earlier tonight at the Creighton school gym.

Head Coach Ryan Karakochuk addressed the crowd and mentioned they had a decent season finishing 3-2 and they are technically a 1A school playing in a 2A league. They have the third smallest population base right across the province.

He did say they were dissapointed in not making the playoffs and really missed not playing in the Northern final. " We had a good season and we finished over 500, but at the end of the day we didn't make our goal of getting into the playoffs. I still believe we were one of the best teams in the North, but football doesn't work that way and we lost two important games, but overall I am happy with a young team that didn't have a lot of seniors."

There was a special salute to the 5 graduating players including Kaylab Ranks, Jaron McDermott, Bailey Noonan, Corbin Collier and Noah Dickens.

Here is the complete list of tonight's award winners.
