The Norman Northstars have their first win of the season after knocking off the Central Plains Capitals 5 to 2 to kick off their road trip Friday night.

Richard Ducharme out of Norway House led the way with a hat-trick with Flin Flon's Morgan Daneliuk added one assist.

Unfortunately Norman couldn't sustain the momentum and dropped their next two games to Southwest 6 to 3 and 8 to 2 to Parkland.

Jordan Pfoh added two assists.

The Northstar record sits at 1-9 and they return home to face the Winnipeg Thrashers this weekend.
