The Hapnot Kings and Queens were both in Thompson over the weekend trying to bring home a couple of banners in soccer.

Things started well for the Queens who beat OCN 3-0, then beat Cross Lake 5-0 to get to the final. It was the matchup that everyone expected to see as Hapnot would play Thompson, and RD Parker came out on top 1-0 in a very exciting final.

The Kings also played well beating Easterville 14-0, lost to OCN 3-2, but rebounded to beat Moose Lake 2-1. Unfortunately the Kings did not qualify for the finals losing out on points for and against.

Thompson also won the Boy's final 5-1 over OCN.

The future looks very good for the Hapnot soccer program as both teams will carry over a number of players for next year's teams.
