Kodiaks Drop Season Opener

It was a tough start to the year for the Creighton Kodiaks who made their way to Sandy Bay to kick off their 5th season yesterday in the Northern Saskatchewan Football League.

The Timberwolves played very good defensively and beat Creighton 38-12. The Kodiaks ran into injury trouble early and ended up turning the ball over 6 times.

The bright spots on offense were a couple of TD throws from Blake Alexander to Austin McLean to account for all the Kodiak offense.

Creighton will try to heal and get ready for their next game on the road in PA next Wednesday, when the Kodiaks will meet Pinehouse under the lights at 7 PM.

Pinehouse won their opening game 64-0 over LaLoche.

Creighton's home opener is scheduled for Thursday September the 20th against Cumberland House.
