The Norman Northstars hosted one of the top teams in the Manitoba Midget AAA League this past weekend.

The Brandon Wheat Kings who sit second overall made their way to Thompson for a pair of games Friday and Saturday.

Brandon took both games convincingly 8 to 2 and 14 to 5, to leave the Northstars winless on the season.

Flin Flon's Jordan Pfoh did have a goal on Saturday and Keian Weseen played one period on Friday giving up 4 goals on 19 shots.

The Northstars drop to 0-13-0-0-1 and they will kick off a 3 game road trip against  Pembina Valley on Friday.
