Former Bomber Finds New Home

Former Flin Flon Bomber Rylee Zimmer has found a new home as he was dealt to the Portage Terriers of the MJHL today.

Zimmer who suited up in 79 regular season games with the Bombers potted 81 points including 27 goals, was dealt to the Melville Millionaires just prior to the SJHL regular season.

Zimmer was part of the futures in the Eric Sinclair trade which also included defenseman Troy Williams.

The Russell Manitoba native just suited up in two games for Melville before requesting a trade and didn't register any points.

Portage will give up a very good player in their own right sending former Cobourg Cougar and RBC Cup Champ Daniel McKitrick  to Melville who had 12 points in 10 games for the Terriers this season.

This will give Zimmer a chance to play his final year of junior hockey in his home province after breaking in his career with  Way Way back in 2016 after a stint with the Regina Pats.

Good luck to Rylee who had some very impressive moments as a Bomber including that double OT winner against Battleford two years ago to send the Bombers to their first league final in 23 years.
