Bombers Face Terriers

The Flin Flon Bombers will put their 6 game winning streak on the line as they hit the Farrell Agencies Arena in Yorkton this weekend for a pair of games.

The two teams will face off tonight at 7:30 and a rare Saturday afternoon contest at 3.

Flin Flon lead the season series two games to none including a 4-2 win at the Whitney Forum last Friday.

The Bombers are flying high with a record of : 27-10-2-2 and have 58 points which has them leading the Sherwood Division and the second best record overall behind only Battleford.

Matter of fact the Bombers have only lost 4 times since the beginning of November reeling off an amazing record of 19-4.

There are lots of reasons for the success including solid goaltending, a veteran d-core and lots of different players stepping up each night.

Offensively the Bombers have also found their groove with Rylee Zimmer, Jason Lavallee, Greyson Reitmeier, Brandon Lesko , Kristian St.Onge and Nick Shumlanski filling the back of the net every night.

Flin Flon have scored 158 goals in 41 games which has them third overall and their 111 against also has them ranked third.

New comers Troy Williams and former Terrier Jordan McCausland have also fit in very nicely and have added 10 goals between them.

Yorkton has a record of 18-20-3-0 and sit third in the Viterra Division and are 7th overall and could be a dangerous team to play in the playoffs.

They have a very good goalie in Nathan Hargrave and just got Dakota Odgers back from the Western league and the Welke brothers are always dangerous.

It should be a very interesting weekend and you can catch both games here on the Bomber originater 102.9 CFAR and flin flon online.com.

Craig Stein will have the call both games with the Murray GM Coach's Show hitting the air 15 minutes before puck drop.
