Bombers Acquire Sinclair

The Flin Flon Bombers have swung a deal to pick up 20 year old defenseman Eric Sinclair out of Melville.

Sinclair played a little more than two seasons for the Melfort Mustangs where he collected 60 points in 103 games including 10 points in 23 career playoff games.

The native of Kenora Ontario was  part of two Canalta Cup Championships with the Mustangs before being dealt to Mellville as part of the futures trade that brought Kirk Bear and Carter Hanson to Melfort last season.

Sinclair held out and was dealt to the Bombers today for future considerations.

This is what Head Coach and GM Mike Reagan had to say about the trade. " This is a trade that has been in the works for over a month. Devon had to jump through some hoops with the situation between them and Melfort and we have been on the sidelines watching to see what the results would be. He is a guy we targeted early and I think he is the best defenseman in the league. We lost a very good d-man in Curtis Roach last year and we needed to replace him in order to make another serious run."

Reagan also mentioned that due to the damage of the Whitney Forum's roof that the team has been practising at the Sportex and if the damage can not be repaired in time for Friday they will play both their games against Kindersley at the Sportex this weekend.
