Bomber Players Recognized

The Flin Flon Bombers are off to an incredible start and two of their players were recognized for their fine play by the SJHL.

 

Goaltender Zac Robidoux and defenseman Joseph Leonidas have been key contributors to the Bomber's early success which has them off to a 6-1-1 start.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

CANALTA HOTELS SJHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Brett Harasymuk, Nipawin Hawks
1997 F Brett Harasymuk (Yorkton SK) erupted for five goals and three assists in the final four games of the week, including three straight games of one goal and one assist followed by a two goal effort Sunday, at home, against Melville.  Harasymuk ended the Showcase with his first two point effort against Notre Dame and then he posted identical totals on the weekend in the home and home set with La Ronge.  Runner-up:  Matt McNeil, Estevan.

 

IBAS SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK:  Joseph Leonidas, Flin Flon Bombers
1996 D Joseph Leonidas (Calgary AB) got on the scoresheet in every game played last week as he garnered two assists against Weyburn and one against Yorkton in the two Showcase games.  He closed out the week with one assist in each of the wins against Melville over the weekend and he now has 7-points in 8-games overall.  Runner-up:  Parker Wakaruk, Humboldt.

 

SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK:  Zac Robidoux, Flin Flon Bombers
1996 G Zac Robidoux (Winnipeg MB) won both of his starts this past week, stopping 34-of-35 on Friday night against Melville and then blanking them with a 22-save effort one night later with contests coming at the Whitney Forum.  Robidoux is off to a fine start with wins in all three of his starts.  He has a 1.33-GAA and .957-SPCT.  Runner-up:  .Kristian Stead, Nipawin.


SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:  Brayden Camrud, Humboldt Broncos
1998 F Brayden Camrud (Saskatoon SK) fired five assist in three games played last week, including a two helper game at the Showcase in Warman on Monday against Estevan.  He followed that up with two assists at Melfort on Friday and another one Saturday home to Weyburn.  Runner-up:  Josh McDougall, Nipawin.
