Hapnot and McIsaac schools hosted Senior High School Basketball Zones this past weekend.

 

RD Parker out of Thompson will head home with both banners.

 

The RD Parker Girls who are ranked no.1 in the province beat Hapnot in the final 55-31. This was a very good effort from a young Queens team.

 

RD Parker Boys, who are ranked no.4 in the province beat Hapnot 77-65 in a very entertaining final.

 

This will end the Hapnot Kings run of 4 straight Zone titles.

 

RD Parker will now represent the North in  Provincials in Virden March the 17th to the 19th.

 

It was also a big weekend for the Creighton Kodiaks.

 

The Kodiak Boys hosted Conferences and ended up losing to Birch Hills in their first game, which eliminated them from the event.

 

The Kodiak Girls were in Carrot River for Conferences and dropped a heartbreaker to Naicam. The Kodiaks were down by 22 entering the fourth quarter and actually got to within a point with just over a minute left.

 

They just didn't have enough and were also eliminated after their first game.
