Flin Flon Minor Hockey will host their first big tournament of the season at both the Sportex and Whitney Forum this weekend.

One of the most popular and best attended tournaments, the Mel Pearson Memorial Hockey Tournament will show case novice hockey players from all over Northern Manitoba.

Action will take place Friday and Saturday and will feature players from Flin Flon, The Pas, OCN, Norway House, Thompson and Swan River.

Each team will play 3 games and action starts Friday afternoon when The Reliance Rhinos take on The Pas Huskies (white) at 1:30 at the Whitney Forum. First game at the Sportex has McKeens taking on The Pas Huskies (red) at 2PM.
