Bombers Deal Pedersen

The Flin Flon Bombers have traded 95 born forward Eric Pedersen to the Whitecourt Wolverines for 95 forward Brandon Switzer.

Mike Reagan made the announcement on 102.9 CFAR at 12:30 today, and said this was a deal for personal reasons. " We think skill wise, this is a trade off. We have had our Alberta scout watch Switzer many times and he is very excited about him. There is personal reasons why this trade was made and has nothing to do with Eric as a hockey player, it is more behind closed doors that made us swing this deal."

Pedersen was putting up good numbers for the Bombers this season where he had 12 points in 13 games including 6 goals. Pedersen is from Airdrie Alberta and will have a chance to finish his career close to home.

Brandon Switzer is from Brandon MB and was second in team scoring for the Wolverines this season putting up 21 points in 22 games including 9 goals.

Switzer led the Manitoba Midget AAA League in scoring his final season with 61 points in 43 games with Brandon.

Switzer is expected to be in the lineup this Wednesday in Melfort.
