The Creighton Kodiaks 6 man football team will make their way to Carrot River this Friday to battle the Wildcats under the lights at 8pm Manitoba time.
The Kodiaks will play on the road the first time this season after beating St Brieux in the home opener a couple of weeks back and coming off the bye last week.
Carrot River is the number one ranked team in the Conference and sit in top spot at 2-0.
Head Coach Ryan Karakochuk hopes to build off the success from their win a couple of weeks back. " It was a big one for us and I had no idea what that game was going to be. I knew we had some good players, but we also have a lot of young players and depth was going to be an issue. The boys gut checked it and found a way to win late and that is something we haven't been able to do in the past, so that was a good thing. That was a great win and a big challenge and now we are off to a bigger challenge."
It is supposed to be a beautiful day and a capacity crowd is expected for the game under the lights. The Kodiaks are looking forward to playing under the lights for the first time on the road, they did host Sandy Bay under the lights a few years ago and remember the great atmosphere it created.
Creighton will play their next home game on Friday October the 2nd VS Lanigan with kickoff at 4pm, Manitoba time.
Northland Ford will be in attendance collecting non persihable food items for the local Food Bank and appreciate all the donations that continue to come in.
