Rob Beck Inducted Into SJHL Hall Of Fame

The Flin Flon Bombers continue to prepare to celebrate their 100th season as a franchise,  and will be hosting the SJHL Hall Of Fame Inductions on September the 23rd.

The Bombers have announced another inductee, home town product Rob Beck who suited up for the Bombers between 1990 and 1993.

Rob was a valuable piece for the Bombers Championship team that won it all in 1993 where he picked up 84 points in 64 games including 34 goals. Beck was able to finish his career with 221 points in 189 career games and is one of the top scorers in team history.

Beck also has the team record for short handed goals in a season when he picked up 8 in the 91-92 season. That record still stands today.

Rob was an all around good player who was very tough to play against and pound for pound was as tough as they came during his era.

After his Bomber career finished, Beck went on to play at Merrimack College in Boston in the NCAA where he suited up for four seasons playing a total of 142 games and picking up 113 points. He was named Captain for his final two seasons.

A product of the Flin Flon Minor Hockey system, Rob wore the Bomber jersey with pride and was one of the most respected  players from his era  around the entire league and is remembered as a tremendous leader who brought it every night.

A well deserved honor and the Flin Flon Bombers look forward to welcoming Rob and his family back to Flin Flon for the Hall Of Fame Ceremony once again on September the 23rd.
