It was a great way for the Northern Stars Club Volleyball team to wrap up their season at Nationals in Calgary this past weekend.

 

The team totally comprised of girls from Flin Flon and Creighton did an outstanding job  show casing their skills on the National stage.

 

In the round robin the Stars won every single set beating Thunder Black, Altitude Pink, Ace of Hearts from Leduc Alberta, North Shore, Norvolk Volleyball club, Ace of Hearts from Cochrane Alberta and Thunder Silver.

 

The Stars finished first in their pool and went on to the playoffs where they beat Ace of Hearts in the Quarters, Thunder Silver in the semi's and then they beat Firestorm out of Ontario 25 to 20 and 25 to 22 to capture the Gold Medal in their Tier.

 

Congratulations to the entire team including Ekko Graham, Teslynn Beauchamp, Blake Shirran, Lydia Alexander, Gracelyn McIntosh, Jocelyn Kozar, Taylor Burwash, Sadie Hynes, Ariana Bellisle, Maelynn Tetlock, Elunn Smith and Ruby Karakochuk.

 

Congratulations are also in order for the coach's Ray Shirran and Heaven Graham in a season to remember.
