The U13 Kinsmen Bombers had a good weekend in Prince Albert posting a 3-1 record and ended up winning the Consolation.
They would begin the weekend with a 11-8 loss to the Cudworth Stars but followed that up with a 6-3 win over the Saskatoon Grizzlies. This would put the Bombers in a 5 way tie but would finish just outside the championship bracket on goal differential.
Their first playoff game would see them play the Regina Shamrocks and the Bombers came away victorious with a 7-4 win setting up a rematch with Cudworth for the Consolation Final.
It was a back and forth game, Luke Kowbel would score late to tie the game 6-6 sending it to a 3 on 3 sudden death overtime. Each team would trade chances and with less the 3 minutes remaining Brody Cooper would score the game winner.
Overall the weekend was a huge success for the Bombers, with contributions from the entire lineup. The Bombers will next head to Thompson in February for a final tune up before they host the U13B provincials in March.
