Bombers Take Down The Terriers

The Flin Flon Bombers didn't miss a beat despite being off the ice for over a week.

The Yorkton Terriers made their way to town last night  and the Bombers were anything but gracious hosts and came out flying.

Flin Flon chased Terrier starting netminder Tommy Bouchard and put up 4 goals before the game was even 10 minutes old.

The final score was 8 to 3 and lots of Bombers had multiple point nights including Jacob Vockler who led the way with two goals and one assist.

Liam Bridger  had the best night of his SJHL career with a 4 point night including his 7th of the season to go along with three helpers.

Jeremi Tremblay had 4 points including a pair of goals to give him 10 on the year and Jaeden Mercier picked up four assists.

Harmon Laser Hume did his job making 33 saves to collect his 10th win of the season.

Specialty teams were a big part of last night's game with the Bombers showing everyone why they have the leagues best powerplay going 4 for 7 while Yorkton was 0 for 9.

The Bombers improve to 13-3-1-1 and now share the second best record in the league overall with the Humboldt Broncos.

Flin Flon also has two games in hand.

Make that 5 straight wins for the Maroon and White express and an incredible 9-0-1-1 at the Whitney Forum.

Yorkton will slip to 7-10 and these two teams will battle at the Forum once again tonight at 7:30.

No radio broadcast as we prepare to bring you all 4 games on the road next week including the big division clash in Nipawin on Tuesday.
