The Norman Northstars got a huge confidence boost yesterday as they picked up their first win on home ice and second overall, downing the Parkland Rangers 5 to 2.

 

All the goals were scored in the third period, with Flin Flon's Magnus Pearson and Nolan Rideout assisting on the game winning goal by Kadin Eetuk.

 

OCN'S Chechoo Lathlin led the way with a pair of goals.

 

With the win,  the Northstars improve to 2-7 and move up to tenth overall in the league standings.

 

They hit the road this weekend with a pair of games against the Winnipeg Thrashers and one game against the Winnipeg Wild.
