Second On The Line In The Sherwood

After a weekend sweep of the Kindersley Klippers the Flin Flon Bombers head to the Cage to battle the Nipawin Hawks tonight.

Flin Flon won Friday 4-0 and got the offense rolling with a 7 to 2 win on Saturday against a depleted Kindersley line up who were only able to dress 11 forwards.

Cal Schell is on a roll and collected his second straight shut out making 26 saves in Friday's game.

Rookie Max Hildebrand started Saturday and picked up his second win of the year with 19 saves.

The offense was spread out with Cole Duppereault, Cole Vardy, Jeremi Tremblay and Jacob Vockler all having multi point weekends.

The Bombers have leap frogged Nipawin for second in the Sherwood at 6-3 while the Hawks are third at 5-2 and do have 2 games in hand. Nipawin had the weekend off.

Melfort continues to lead the division at 7-1-0-1

This will be the second meeting of the season with the Hawks winning in Flin Flon 4 to 1 on September the 28th.

This remains one of the best rivalries in the league and these two teams  always seem to bring the best out of each other.

No matter what go's down you will have the best seat in the house as we

are back on the air tonight with Creighton Furniture Flin Flon Bomber Hockey,  including  the Great North GM Coach's Show at 8:15 and drop of the puck at 8:30 MB time.
