Klippers Snap Bombers Winning Streak

Cole Duperreault scored 17 seconds into their game with Kindersley yesterday at the Showcase in Warman, but that was the only puck they could slip past Brett Sweet as the Klippers snuck past the Bombers 2-1.

This will snap Flin Flon's winning streak at 3 games.

Kindersley responded with two goals later in the first period from Logan Linklater and Brenden Lee which stood up as the game winner.

Max Hildebrand got the start for the Bombers and he stopped 19 out of 21 shots and saw his record slip to 1-1. Brett Sweet was much busier stopping 35 out of 36 and was the key to his team's victory.

Flin Flon finishes the Showcase at 1-1 and their overall record is 4-3, good enough for second in the Sherwood, tied with Nipawin.

Both teams trail Melfort by one point for the division lead.

Kindersley will improve to 3-3 and are tied for second in the Global Ag Risk Solution Division with Notre Dame and Humboldt.

The Bombers and Klippers will square off two more times this weekend with a pair of games at the Whitney Forum, Friday and Saturday at 7:30.

We are back on the air with the call Friday right here on 102.9 CFAR and flinflononline.com.

Don't forget it starts with the Great North GM, Coach's Show at 7:15 and drop of the puck at 7:30.
