Bombers Fall To 1-2

The Flin Flon Bombers did score the first goal in  last night's game against the Nipawin Hawks but couldn't muster much offense after that.

Cole Duperreault streaked down the left wing and snapped a low shot past Chase Hamm, just 4:48 into the opening period but that was it for the Bomber offense  as they dropped  a 4 to 1 decision.

Nipawin played well defensively and Flin Flon had a hard time getting to the net.

The Hawks scored four straight from Albertsen, Lefebvre, Wilson and Dobson with the Bombers holding the edge in shots 31 to 26.

The Bombers who are especially good on the power play went  0 for 1 in their only opportunity. The Hawks finished 1 for 4.

Flin Flon will fall to 1-2 on the season while Nipawin is tops in the Sherwood Division at 3-0.

Next up for the Bombers will be a home and home with Laronge this weekend. Flin Flon heads to Laronge on Friday with the re-match at the Whitney Forum on Saturday at 7:30.

The Wolves are still looking for their first win of the season at 0-2.
