Congratulations to Flin Flon's Derek Koivisto, who has signed with the Dryden Ice Dogs of the SIJHL.  

 

Derek played two years of Midget AA with the Prince Albert under 18 Raiders picking up 19 points in 48 games.

 

Last year, he made the jump to the Norman Northstars of the Manitoba Midget Triple A league and collected 23 points in 42 games including 9 goals.

 

Koivisto also got a chance to play a couple of games with the KJHL'S, OCN Storm where he picked up 2 assists in 2 games.

 

Dryden is a very competitive team in the SIJHL and reeled off back to back Championships in the 2016-2017 and 2017-18 seasons.
