The Pas/OCN hosted the first big minor hockey tournament for the North, the Wescana Cup at both the GLMC and Roy H Johnston Arena.

 

Flin Flon was well represented with both the AA'S and A'S taking part.

 

The AA'S beat the Pas 5-0, tied Swan River at 4,then lost to the Pas in a shoot out in the Semi's. Flin Flon rebounded with an 8-5 win over Thompson in the B-side final.

 

The A'S lost to the Pas 4-2, tied Thompson at 4, then beat Swan River 4-3 to finish round robin at 1-1-1. They would beat Wabowden 10-0 in the C-final.
