The Norman Northstars kicked off their 2017-18 Manitoba Midget AAA Hockey season this past weekend but unfortunately came home with no points after an 0 and 3 start.

 

Norman played their first game Friday against the brand new franchise Winnipeg Bruins and played a decent game losing 4-1. Flin Flon's Mitchell Reid scored the only Northstar goal.

 

The Northstars followed that with a couple of shut out losses to Kenora by scores of 5-0 and 3-0 to close out the weekend yesterday.

 

It will be home opener weekend for the Northstars who play host to Parkland this Friday and Saturday with both games 7:30 starts at the C.A Nesbitt Arena. Parkland is 1-1 on the season.
