The Creighton Kodiak football team traveled to La Ronge for the final game of the regular season. They soundly defeated Senator Miles Venn School, 44-8. Evan Linnick scored for four touchdowns en route to cementing the league scoring title.
Chris Reynolds ran back an 80 yard kickoff return to start the second half and QB Blair Pietsch threw a 15 yard touchdown pass to Josh Nolan. Not to be outdone the Kodiak defense gave up the fewest points allowed in league history. Coach Ryan Karkochuk was obviously proud of his team, “It was a great accomplishment. The boys always enjoy going out on the road and playing on someone else’s field. Now they realize the next couple of weeks is going to be (full) of some intense practice, and get ready for playoff time.”
The Kodiaks start their playoff run Oct. 20th as they host the East Semi Final. Kickoff is at 4pm.
