At last night’s Flin Flon City Council meeting Blair Sapergia questioned whether the city has done all the research necessary to make sure the purchase of the Northern Bus Lines garage and renovate it to replace the current city garage facilities instead of building a new facility is the right move.  Mayor George Fontaine said they are very interested in the bus garage and all questions have not yet been asked but it looks like the right decision so far.  He said it would become a multi-use facility to replace several current facilities.

Council  received the Fire Chiefs report for April indicating there were three fire calls during the month.

The city also entered into an agreement with the Water Services Board for a study of the uptown water distribution system in regards to fire fighting capacity. Mayor Fontaine said it will look at what they have and what system the need to guarantee the water pressure will be there when needed.
