During his report at the Flin Flon School Board meeting Superintendent Blaine Veitch mentioned that last years student writing anthology is being circulated throughout the schools with stories for next years collection being accepted.  Veitch also spoke on the impact of surveillance cameras at the schools.  He says the cameras inside and outside have been quite helpful and have contributed to keeping incidents such as vandalism to a minimum.

With February being I Love to Read Month Board Chair Murray Skeavington encouraged parents to take the extra time to read to their child or have their child read to them more often.

Some dates to keep in mind include January 29th, 30th and 31st Hapnot and Many Faces are writing exams, the winter dance at Ecole McIsaac is on the 29th and February 20th at the Community Hall is the combined Science Fair for Ruth Betts and McIsaac Schools.
