At their monthly meeting on Thursday afternoon the Rotary Club made a presentation to the City of Flin Flon.

The Rotary Club of Flin Flon is proud to announce a $100,000 donation to city’s pool project. The Rotary Club thanked   the efforts businesses and individuals who made to make the donation possible.   Fundraisers such as the Operation Red Nose, The rotary dream draw, lobsters night, fly in fishing draw and Blueberry Jam concession all contributed.

City of Flin  Flon Recreation director Caitlin Bailey expressed her gratitude towards the Rotarians and hopes it leads to more contributions. " It is a wonderful community donation and we are really thankful to have the Rotary Club support this project so much. We are hopeful this will inspire other business owners within the region to either match or compete with Rotary and get their names up on the new pool."

Bailey went on to say that while they  appreciative of such a large public donation while this is not the Rotary clubs first donation to the pool project and that fundraising efforts for the pool are continuing.
