If you have ever wondered how decisions get made and how different items get brought to the table at City Council meetings, you will get the opportunity to see how the process works first hand.
The City has now opened up Committee meetings to the public as we hear more from Councillor Mike Slipp. " We didn't realize that the public was supposed to come to our committee meetings , there are three committees that the city has including Social and Rec, Finance and Engineering. These are the meetings we have regularly and probably once every two weeks. Those are where we talk about the issues on what go's to council. At Council meetings we pass resolutions and it can be hard to understand what those resolutions are, but at the Committee meetings thats where these are decided."
Meeting times will be posted on the City Of Flin Flon website at cityofflinflon.ca, and usually take place at noon and 4:30 . You will also be able to find out information by contacting the City at 204-681-7511.
