The newly formed Trails Committee who are working with the Flin Flon Chamber Of Commerce held their second meeting Tuesday night at City Council Chambers. Leslie Beck has been the standing chair and said she has met with representatives from Denare Beach, Creighton and Flin Flon on what trails will be opened.
Beck was happy with the turn out and explains where their organization will go from here: " It was great to see the group that came out and we have good representation from the region and our next step now is to identify to each one of the regions what trail we should start with. It is really important about starting slow and getting all the bugs ironed out and figuring out all the little things like insurance. It is good that a lot of that stuff was brought up at tonight's meeting so now we know what we have to lok into going forward."
They have applied for a couple of grants from Rotary and the Northern Neighbors Foundation and have put together an executive which includes Leslie Beck, Sitting Chair, Christine Williams Co- Chair and Suzanne Kolenosky, Secretary Treasurer. Their next meeting is March the 12th , 7pm at the Creighton Rec Office and is open to anyone who is interested in attending.
