NMMA Offering First Aid Training

The Northern Manitoba Mining Academy will be offering first aid classes March the 12th and 13th, April 2nd and 3rd and 17th and 18th. Kelsey Farkus who is the Mining Academy Operations Co-ordinator explains what they will be teaching in these classes.

 

" So we offer both basic and intermediate first aid  training at the Mining Academy in Flin Flon. Our basic first aid training is a one day couse that is taught face to face delivery of the ST John ambulance curriculum. The primary focus  is the cpr level C that covers adult and child, the defibilator and emergency situations. The Intermediate is a two day course also taught face to face with the ST John Ambulance curriculum , and includes CPR level C which also covers adult, infant and child. It will also cover more emergency situations.

 

They can take a maximum of 18 people per class and you are advised to sign up asap as these classes always fill up quickly. You can register by e-mailing nmma@ucn.ca or calling 204-687-7038.
