The City Of Flin Flon water and waste water rates was read a second time and passed a second reading. Once a third reading is passed there will be a meeting of public approval. The city also amended City of Flin Flon fees, fines and charges bylaw which was read a first time and passed on first reading.
The city has requested an extension for the pool project under the Canada Infrastructure program for the existing grant from the Provincial and Federal governments for the delay in the build. This has been extended til March the 31st of 2026.
The City and the Flin Flon School Division have reached a financial agreement with a grant that has been given from Hudbay which will give a lump sum to the city in lew of taxes with a percentage given to the school division.
Joy Capyk was introduced at the meeting as the new Director of Finance and HR. Joy brings with her experience from working with Hudbay in Snow Lake.
