Operation Red Nose Continues To Get Used

Operation Red Nose was out in full force this past weekend, getting people and their vehicles home safe and sound. Rotary Club member Ted Hewitt says the service continues to pick up numbers each weekend.

" This past weekend the Hapnot staff and the U-13 Kinsmen Bombers hockey team provided the volunteers for Operation Red Nose. A total of 24 rides were provided for clients for a safe ride home. Next weekend the Steelworkers will provide the rides for Friday night and Hudbay staff and Ruth Betts will provide rides on Saturday. The service is available from 9 til 2 am by calling 204-687-7331."

Operation Red Nose is in desperate need for volunteers for New Year’s  Eve, so if you are interested in volunteering you can contact Ted Hewitt at 204-687-7450 or tedhewitt@outlook.com. You can volunteer as an individual or a team and all the necessary forms will be forwarded. Remember this is a free service to use but donations will be accepted. All the donations will be used for children’s sports.
